Pulse gets Strong

Moviehole got the heads up this morning that CABIN FEVER star Rider Strong has just signed up to star in Dimension’s PULSE: INVASION, the second of the upcoming PULSE sequels.

I’ve always like Strong, even back to his ‘Boy Meets World’ days, and thought his stint in FEVER was dope… so I’m not quite sure why we haven’t really seen much of him lately, but that’s neither here nor there. I dig the dude, and he may just be the one reason to check out these STD sequels to one P.O.S. of a movie.

INVASION goes a bit like this: [taking] place seven years in the future the survivors on Earth settled into a primitive lifestyle completely void of electronics. The clusters of human survivors live together in refugee camps as the phantoms have taken over the cities. Justine is now a teenager and she escapes to the city to try and make a life for herself where she is not a drain on her adopted family. She heads in to the city at the urging of Adam, a seeming survivor in the city that lures her with promises of understanding and friendship.

Wow. Pretty elaborate storyline there. Maybe it won’t suck after all… or maybe it will. Impossible to tell at this point, other than the fact that the original film in this ‘series’ blew donkey balls. Let’s hope this is one case where the sequels are better than the original.
