The we heard from THE BURROWERS camp, director JT Petty was scouting locations and blogging about some props that were being prepped for the film (i.e., the tobacco pouch made from a man’s scrotum). Yes, the flick was headed in the right direction, and now… it’s headed online and on demand, courtesy of FEARnet… sorta…
announced this morning that a series of short to THE BURROWERS are going to air online and on demand through FEARnet, in three to five minute episodes, detailing the events that happen the events in the film takes place. Novel idea? They’re basically doing a similar thing with 30 DAYS OF NIGHT: BLOOD TRAILS, but hey, I’m not complaining… sounds fun to me!
The short ‘webisodes’ Oh man, that’s gotta suck. All you want to do is survive, so you eat a deer… and then you loose your mind and unleash evil forces! Talk about a bad day…
The series of prequels will also feature a blog from Petty regarding the making of the shorts, and are scheduled to hit online and on demand this December. The full feature film of THE BURROWERS is scheduled to hit theaters sometime next year courtesy of Lionsgate.
