The clichéd saying that all actors want to be directors definitely has some truth to it (or it probably wouldn’t be a saying at all), as it looks like actor Tony Todd (known to you & I as CANDYMAN) is going to jump behind the camera soon, with a new movie entitled EERRIE, PA

Dread Central scored the scoop on the project over the weekend, noting that not only will Todd direct the flick, but he’ll also be starring in it as well. So what’s it about? Not a whole lot is known at this point, other than it’s a a character-driven drama based in the small town that inspired it. Did I mention he also wrote the screenplay? Well, he did that too! Calling this Todd’s baby would be an understatement. While it doesn’t sound like straight-up horror (or any kind of horror, for that matter), it is based in Eerrie, PA, so subtle eeriness will likely be the name of the game. Plus, it’s f*ckin’ Tony Todd we’re talkin’ about here! Even in his serious roles, he’s still kind of a scary dude.

To check out more about the project, as well as how it all came to be when it’ll likely start filming, go ahead and click HERE, and stick around for more on EERRIE, PA as we hear it!
