I’m not sure I can stomach another THE PUNISHER movie. The last one left too much of a scar on my soul, as I was the only thing in that movie theatre that was getting punished. And maybe Thomas Jane had the good sense to jump ship before the sequel could do as much damage to the audience (and not enough damage on screen) as the first film did. But alas, the studio have found the replacement for Jane and it comes in the form of an HBO leading man. Ray Stevenson will be wearing the skull in the sequel to THE PUNISHER , and yes it is the same Ray Stevenson from the show ROME.
I guess Stevenson has a gritty look that should bode well for the character, but in terms of looking the part, I liked Thomas Jane. Oh well, neither of them are as cool as Dolph Lundgren!
