B movie festival

There is not a movie fan out there
who hasn’t been subjected to a ‘B’ film and fallen in love with at least one
aspect of it; I mean as bad as they can be there just so damn awesome!

Well its cool to see that these
films will be getting the recognition they deserve with the first annual
B
Movie Celebration
and this really may be one of the best events that
I’ve ever heard of.

Playing over 50 classics (including

RE-ANIMATOR
,
THE THING
,

THE FLY
,
EVIL DEAD
,

INVASION OF THE BODY SNATCHERS
, etc.) the festival will run from
August 17th to the 19th. What a great opportunity for people to see some
classics on the big screen that they never had a chance to see when the films
were going through there original runs.

The festival won’t only hold all
these great showings, but will also have several featured guests including Tom
Savini,
Jim Wynorski,
Conrad Brooks, and a special lifetime achievement award and retrospective to B
movie god Lloyd “I created Troma biatches” Kaufman! Now how sweet of a line-up
is that!

So if you happen to live anywhere
near Franklin, Indiana or happen to be in that area around the end of August
make sure to check out the 1st annual
B
Movie Celebration
.
