If your a fan of Italian horror,
than this video is definitely a must see. Hell even if you don’t like Italian
cinema you should watch this video; the music alone is worth the seven minutes!
So what the hell am I talking about?
I’m talking about writer/director Semih Tareen and his
tribute to Italian horror cinematographer Mario Bava. Entitled
YELLOW, this seven
minute tribute shows a couple and their deadly game of chess.
The short, which is being hosted by
YouTube, does an awesome job at not only the framing of each shot, but the
lighting and Goblin-esque musical score are spot on. Tareen has done an
excellent job with his tribute to Bava and his subsequent style which made it’s
mark in 60’s Italian horror. So do yourselves a favor and take some time to
watch this cool little tribute
