Synder talks Watch

I know a lot of people think that
WATCHMEN
may be getting a little more hype lately than it deserves, but if
you have read it you know how truly amazing this work by Alan Moore really is.
And the fact that
300
‘s opening weekend success could make
WATCHMEN
see the light of day even sooner could not make me happier.

With this said, Zack Snyder had a
sit down with one of the guys from

Comic Book Resources
about his recent success
with
300
, but also managed to get some new details
about his upcoming adaptation of WATCHMEN.

Amongst the things that Snyder said,
there were a few details that specifically stood out to me. Snyder says for one
that Tom Cruise will probably NOT be playing the part of

Ozymandias
. (Which for me is good
news because I didn’t really think he could pull off that part anyways.) Also
Snyder mentioned that slight alterations may be made to several of the
characters appearances. (Fortunately though my beloved Rorschach will be left
untouched.) Finally the best thing that Snyder mentions is that the movie will
be headed for that ‘R’ rating, and hopefully this means that much of the
original story will remain the same.

If you are a WATCHMEN fan,
you definitely need to check out the full interview

here
. And if you aren’t a fan of WATCHMEN
it probably means you haven’t read it yet, so get your ass out there and pick
yourself up a copy. You won’t be disappointed.
