Do we really need another killer croc film? If it’s a sequel to LAKE PLACID, then why not? Moviehole snagged some details on the direct-to-DVD sequel, which will be making its premiere on the Sci Fi Channel before it’s shuffled off to DVD via Fox Home Entertainment.

First off, BOA VS. PYTHON director David Flores (who’s coming off of SS DOOMTROOPER) is behind the sequel, which is being filmed in Bulgaria. The plot details are scarce, but it’s known that the basis involves a town’s population coming face-to-face with the croc from the first film, with John Schneider of “Smallville”, Cloris Leachman and Chad Collins in tow. Other than that, we’ll have to wait on more info.
