Fango recently caught up with Kevin Scott, who provided them with some behind-the-scenes shots and poster art for Mark Young’s TOOTH AND NAIL, which completed shooting late last month (December, not January).
Set in 2010 when gasoline has run out, civilization has collapsed and most of the world’s population has either died or reverted to savagery. In an abandoned Philadelphia, a group of young survivors hole up in a deserted hospital and plan to rebuild society, but have to contend with a group of vicious cannibals intent on making a meal of them.
Scott, who plays the role of Max in the film, says the film is a mish-mash of 28 DAYS LATER, MAD MAX, THE HILLS HAVE EYES and even DAWN OF THE DEAD, if you can believe it. Hell, that’s not the best part.
Rider Strong from CABIN FEVER plays the male lead,” explains Scott. “while Michael Madsen is one of the Rovers (the pack of cannibals in the film).” Also starring are Michael Kelly from the DAWN remake, Robert Carradine from BODY BAGS and Rachel Miner from PENNY DREADFUL.
You can check out the official site for the film here, though it’s pretty barren at this point. Keep an eye out for this puppy, and click here for the shots and poster.
