AvP2 tidbit

We were hit up with a little ditty about an
interview that took place between one of the puppeteers from AvP2 and
AvPGalaxy.net, and while it was mostly about how puppets work, there was a
little tidbit of info that some of you may get a kick out of.

Here is a small excerpt from the interview between AvPGalaxy and Morris
Chapdelaine, an AvP2 puppeteer:

AvPGalaxy – What was your
favorite scene in AvP2 to work on?

Morris Chapdelaine – There were a lot
of favorite scenes but I have to say that the battle on the rooftop was amazing!
We worked on it for over 2 weeks and it was brilliant not only because of the
sheer number of creatures involved, but because of the tense nature of the
sequence and the choreography of the fighting. There is some stuff that has
never been seen before- weapons, gadgets and hand to hand combat that is sure to
pique everyone’s interest.

Chapdelaine is one of the puppeteers from AvP2
and didn’t say much more about plot details, but I thought the above seems like
a cool indication of what the film has in store. The part I’m most impressed
about is the fact that this huge battle used animatronics and not CGI. Hopefully
this won’t turn out too badly and may even be worth watching.
