Man its hard to cover "good" horror flicks in
January i.e. dumping month. Again…somebody doesn’t have faith in their
most likely lousy film and are selling it "mainstream" in the hopes of a strong opening weekend.
How else can you explain the
blatantly mis-leading
marketing behind Michael Katleman’s “based on a true story”
PRIMEVAL (Opening on January 12, 2007).
First the trailers sold it like a serial
killer flick, now even the Poster (top right) and the Press Releases are going
at it!
And I quote:
PRIMEVAL is a nail-biting
horror-thriller that follows an American news crew as they attempt to
capture a bloodthirsty serial killer who has claimed over 300 victims, and
is still at large to this day!
Mmm, somebody
forgot to mention that the blood thirsty serial killer is a
f*cking
25-foot
crocodile! COME ON GUYS! Yup, I’m stoked to see this one now (sarcasm); actually they would’ve had me
by telling it like it is! What’s wrong with a killer croc? That’s more appealing to me
right now than yet another damn serial killer flick! But that’s just me…For those of you who still care here are
links to 4 TV SPOTS for the film. PRIMEVAL stars Dominick Purcell and
Orlando Jones.

Purcell: “Am I hunting a man or a croc man?” “Somebody level with me
over here! I’m losing it”
