TCM Underground continues it’s run with cult
films as it airs DEMENTIA 13 tonight. DEMENTIA 13 is a film about the members of
an Irish family as they are being killed off one by one by a mysterious one of
their own who wishes to inherit the family’s inheritance.

The film was Francis Ford Coppola’s first film, and is incredibly moody and chilling
at points. Even though it had a very low production fund, the film itself is amazing
and is an excellent example at Coppola’s ability to direct with an absolute
shoestring budget.

. And make sure you check out the scene where the hunter is
decapitated. It’s a great example of how far Coppola’s come in terms of budget and
production values.

Also, before I forget, I was wondering if a lot of you out there enjoy what TCM is doing with
this ‘Underground’ series? I personally love the idea of showing these films
that are rarely seen. I know that I’ve tuned in as much as possible. What about
everyone else?

DEMENTIA 13 airs tonight at 2:00 A.M. on TCM Underground.
