Hannibal pics rise

Mmmm, Chianti.

The dudes over at Rope of Silicon snagged some new shots of Gaspard Ulliel and his wacky Hannibal mask in the Lecter prequel HANNIBAL RISING. After the lackluster RED DRAGON, you’d figure that the studio would quit while they were ahead. Unfortunately, money talks and here we are.

If you thought that Gaspard looked creepy in the first couple of images, this one solidifies it, but not in a good way. Something about the dude in the tub and Gaspard held by knifepoint doesn’t sit right with me. Either that, or the dude’s bad teeth in the other shot. We also get a better shot of Lecter’s new mask, which is actually a samurai mask, but it really isn’t scary. Hopefully the film turns out better than what we’ve seen so far. Perhaps a trailer would ease my mind (hint, hint)? Hit up those pics here.
