Fear the PS3

With F.E.A.R. COMBAT being released today (I’m still in queue, dammit!), Sierra Entertainment announced that for its first PS3 game, it will port the original F.E.A.R. to the soon-to-be-released console.

Previously, the game was announced for the PlayStation’s competitor, the XBOX 360, which is set for a November release. To make things that much more interesting for potential PS3 owners, their version will also be released in November as a launch title for the console. Day 1 Studios has been assigned to port both versions of the acclaimed PC shooter. Monolith, the developer of the original PC version, announced earlier in the year that they are currently working on a sequel to F.E.A.R. which will be for “multiple next-gen consoles,” which will almost certainly include the PS3.
