Best. Expression. Ever.
Over at GHOST RIDER’s official site, writer-director Mark Steven Johnson and crew updated their video blog section of the site with their third entry, this one detailing the transformation of Johnny Blaze into the titular Spirit of Vengeance.
Johnson goes over how the transformation starts out as a fire inside (and no, it doesn’t involve Davey Havok), and how Nicholas Cage pulls off a sort of laughing and screaming in pain expression that Johnson claims only Cage could do. What I’m stoked about is the initial still of Cage and his whole flesh-melting, which Johnson says is a part of the 360 degree shot of the transformation.
In case you missed out on the previous two blog entries, the first one has Johnson again, this time talking about the scriptwriting and the movie’s mythology with Producers Gary Foster and Mike DeLuca. The second entry, the biggest one on the site, has soundbites from this year’s Comic-Con, including input from Cage and Eva Mendes. Unfortunately, we don’t get the footage that was shown at Comic-Con, but hey, as Tom Petty said, waiting is the hardest part. GHOST RIDER blazes theatres next February.
