“What controversy?”

Last month, it was reported that Takashi Miike’s contribution to MASTERS OF HORROR, ‘Imprint’, would be released September 26th. Originally, the spec details were kind of pithy, at best. DavisDVD reports that the final specs have been released, and while they aren’t as numerous as previous DVDs for the series, given Miike’s entry’s controversy, Anchor Bay did what they could.

Here’s what you get:

  • anamorphic widescreen transfer
  • Dolby Digital 5.1 & 2.0 audio tracks
  • audio commentary with authors Chris D. and Wyatt Doyle
  • I Am The Film Director Of Love And Freedom: Takashi Miike
  • Imperfect Beauty featurette
  • Imprinting featurette
  • still gallery
  • trailers
  • screenplay via DVD-ROM

Obviously, a commentary with Miike involved would be kind of hard without a translator (unless you like reading subtitles while watching the movie), but at least we get a commentary, nonetheless. No artwork as of yet, so stay tuned.
