Missed this one last week, but at the premiere of PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: ETC., Marilyn Manson dropped some tidbits on the status of his Lewis Carrol biopic PHANTASMAGORIA to MTV. We’ll get to that soon, but I think we should all take a moment to notice just how wrong it is that the above pic was ever taken.
OK, let’s move on. Apparently Manson wants to tempt his buddy Johnny Depp into taking a role in the pic. Not as Carrol, of course, as Marilyn has set that juicy lead for himself. Here’s a bit of what he had to say on the matter –
“In less than two weeks, I’m going to France to start production on my film, and maybe I’ll convince Johnny to be in it — I’ll extort him to be in it.”
The more interesting news from the short interview is that Manson wants all of the effects in the film to be in-camera, so he’s hired a magician to handle the F/X. That probably peaks my interest more than anything else I’ve heard on the film so far.
