DVDActive comes through today with details and artwork for the 1972 thriller THE OTHER, starring Chris and Martin Udvarnoky, Uta Hagen and Diana Muldaur.
The film, based on the novel by Tom Tryon, centres on two brothers, Niles and Holland Perry, who in the summer of 1935, live with their family on a Connecticut farm. Their loving grandmother Ada has taught them something called “the game.” A number of accidents begin happening, and it seems to Niles that Holland is responsible. It is Ada who begins to see the truth, and she is the only one who can stop this macabre game of murder.
The DVD, set to hit September 5th, will retail for about $14.98, and features an anamorphic 1.85:1 widescreen transfer with Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo Surround and Dolby Digital 2.0 Mono tracks. There doesn’t appear to be any extras of of yet, but at the budget price of 15 bucks, you shouldn’t expect much.
