DVD Stays Alive

After the disappointing box office and dashed potential that was STAY ALIVE, Buena Vista will try again with the DVD release on September 19th.

Available in a 100 minute unrated director’s cut, which will include an entirely new character and subplot (and hopefully those gooey kills we were hoping for!), the disc will sport a 2.35:1 anamorphic transfer and Dolby Digital 5.1 sound track. Bonus materials include a commentary by the filmmakers (and hopefully an explanation), interactive bonus menus (build your character and see where it takes you), a visual effects reel and trailers. For fans of fullscreen, you can get the 85 minute PG-13 theatrical cut, proving that pan and scan transfers are for suckers. There is cover art, but DavisDVD has a dinky image that you can check out here if you can’t wait for a larger version.
