Last week, we showed you a preview of sorts for Sideshow Collectibles’ upcoming Leatherface maquette based on the original TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE. Well, lo and behold, Sideshow hit the web today with official pre-order info along with pics galore of the new figure.
The Premium Format Leatherface figure captures Leatherface in his dinner attire, just after Sally gets away, injured leg and all. The suit has been reproduced in 1:4 scale using real fabric, and has Leatherface’s ‘pretty lady’ mask expertly reproduced in high-quality polystone, complete with film-accurate wig. Standing 19-inches tall on top of an environmental display base, the maquette retails for $249.99.
Since this is Sideshow we’re talking about here, they’ve made some exclusive pieces for the figure if you pre-order through Sideshow’s website: 1:4 scale reproductions of the bucket and mallet from the infamous dinner scene. The mallet is cast in real metal, and a small environmental display base is included with a wood floor top surface for the bucket. Not much of an accessory, I know, but hey, it pays to pre-order.
