Once in a while a concept comes along that you have to do a double take to see if you’ve taken one too many hits from your latest batch. Enter Codemasters and their set of games based on THE TURDS, due out May 23rd. The story goes like this: THE TURDS are a collection of comedic characters born from the best of toilet humor. THE TURDS satirize known characters from film, entertainment and sport, such as The Bogfather, Freddy Pooger, The Turdinator, Wayne Pooney, and characters from history, including Shat the Ripper, Brave Fart, and, of course, Hitler (though it doeesn’t take a genius to figure out what his name becomes). Pacemaker UK‘s range of THE TURDS figurines, posters, and soft toys has fast established a multi-million business with a loyal fan base that has been extended internationally.
Now the poop troop will star in a series of free-to-play flash games being developed by Pilot Interactive. The games are to be featured on a dedicated TURDS gaming site which can be accessed by heading to Funsta.com, which is Codemasters’ international casual online portal, and a network of partnered sites. The first game to cause a stink online is DONKEY PONG AND THE ADVENTURES OF RIMDIANA JONES, which is an obvious homage to DONKEY KONG and Indiana Jones. The game sees plopular action hero, Rimdiana Jones, and agent Marilyn Muckroe, on a search for the legendary fartifact, the Lost Arse. However, disaster strikes: Marilyn is captured by giant ape-sh*t, Donkey Pong, and is to be sacrificed to a mysterious giant turd, worshipped by the lost Pongo Tribe.
Other games set to be released in the future include BOGGER, DUNGBEETLE RALLY, POOBERT and TURD HEROES: MEN IN CACK. And they say we live in a degenerating society.
