The remake train just keeps on rolling. Now Screen Gems has snapped up the rights to re-do THE STEPFATHER. In case you missed it, the original starred Terry O’Quinn as a conservative guy who just wants the perfect family.
When they disappoint him, and they always do, he kills ’em off and starts all over again.
The thing that really made THE STEPFATHER stand out was its focus on character development along with the ample brutality at play. This was not a normal slasher and that was all to its benefit. Read The Arrow’s review of the original for more on that.
