Variety reports today that Nic Cage and The Pang Bros. are going to partner up for a remake of the brothers 1999 film BANGKOK DANGEROUS. The Pang’s leapt to prominence in North America during the Asian horror renaissance with their excellent supernatural thriller THE EYE.
In BANGKOK DANGEROUS Cage will play a cold-blooded hit man who heads to Bangkok to pull off four jobs, and winds up falling in love with a local girl and bonding with his errand boy.
I’m guessing the character will likely not be a deaf-mute as in the original, but you never know. While we wait to find out, don’t forget to check Cage in THE WICKER MAN trailer Ammon dropped on you over here.
