Over in Fango land today, they’ve scored some preliminary pics from producers Kate Robbins and Suzanne Lyons’ upcoming ghost flick SEANCE, which is currently being filmed in the Republic of Schwarzenegger (that would be California, for those who don’t get the joke).
Written and directed by Mark L. Smith, SEANCE is described by Robbins and Lyons as “a really scary ghost story” starring Adrian Paul from ‘The Highlander’ TV series (as well as the upcoming ‘reboot’ film in the series) as a serial killer spectre, A.J. Lamas, Tori White (the lead from CANDY STRIPERS), Kandis Erickson, Joel Geist, Chauntal Lewis and Bridget Shergalis as a ghost child.
The synopsis goes like this: Lauren thinks her dorm room is haunted by a little girl (Shergalis). Water turns on, lights flicker and things move about on their own. Lauren’s roommates, Melina and Alison, think it’s all in Lauren’s head, as does Alison’s boyfriend, Diego. But Lauren’s not the only one who thinks something’s amiss: Grant, Lauren’s neighbour down the hall, has seen the girl and discovered that the little girl (named Cara) lived in Lauren’s dorm, but fell down the elevator shaft 40 years ago. So during Thanksgiving break, with the dorm empty except for Syd, the security guard, the kids decide to hold a seance. If this little girl exists, Lauren wants to know why she’s bothering them.
Unfortunately, the seance instead summons Spence, the building’s one-time maintenance man and local serial killer, who killed Cara and was executed 30 years ago. None of them know Spence is there, because he and Cara are only visible in the dark. It’s not until several of the friends have disappeared that the others realize they’ve trapped themselves in an empty dorm with an invisible killer. So they must throw the dorm into total darkness, and discover a way to send Spence back to where he came from before he kills them all.
