2nd Pulse appears

When we last heard about the American remake of PULSE, it was heading back to the drawing board for some much needed reshoots, which is never good to hear when the film is set to be released within the next two months, which is probably why today Yahoo! got ahold of a second trailer for the Jim Sonzero-directed film, set to hit July 14th.

While the trailer looks good and creepy, I still get the feeling that The Weinstein Co. are skimming the best from the proverbial soup that is the film, and getting said footage out there to lure more folks into what may be an utter disappointment. I’m hoping that this turns out to be untrue, but when the original RINGU was that much better than its American counterpart (don’t get me started on the sequel), and when director Sonzero’s only other work is a 1999 war drama, it might be time to reconsider investing in American remakes of Japanese horror films.

Click here to judge for yourself.
