A remixed Nightmare?!

An interesting little bit of info recently appeared on Mi Casa Multimedia, a production house for sound mixing and mastering for DVD. Apparently, the company, which does a lot of DVD mastering for New Line is working on a remix and remaster of one NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET!

Now, before anyone jumps up and screams ‘double-dip’, it may just be New Line preparing to release the film on one of the new formats. Then again, the film’s 25th anniversary is only 3 years away, but that’s stretching it a bit. Considering fans could really only get the meat of the supplements pertaining to the film in the NIGHTMARE boxset released years ago, perhaps New Line really is planning on a re-release? Who knows, but if they do, at least bring us the uncut versions of the first and fifth films, since I’m forced to watch the scenes and others from the forums on this fansite in craptacular RealVideo format (no knock against the site, mind you, but the format sucks). With all the stuff surrounding the now-dead FRIDAY remake, it might be another red herring from New Line. Only time will tell.
