Looks like the long discussed HALLOWEEN 9 is about to take a significant step forward. Over at Halloweenmovies.com they posted this brief, but heavy, announcement.

I’m guessing that the announcement will relate to finally landing whatever A-list director the franchise has been pursuing, but that’s just spitballing. That, or they will finally go the comedic route with the series and cast Mike Myers as Michael Myers (a move I feel is long overdue). Regardless, it certainly sounds like The Shape may start moving again soon.
On a related note, the Dread Central boys have reported that the story line will not be the origin story that Jake Wade Wall talked about developing. Instead it will be a straight sequel.
Keep in mind that this is all simply informed speculation at this point, but spit bullets on what you think. More Myers? Leave him alone? What do you think they should do with the story line?
