Silk-y smooth trailer

Over at KaijuShakeDown.com they’ve posted a link to the teaser trailer for Taiwanese horror flick SILK. Looks like even in the horror genre politics are at play, though, as the film is consistently referred to as being a Chinese film in write ups about it.

The story line is simple, but certainly interesting. A group of scientists trap a ghost. Judging by the trailer, and as you might expect, things don’t proceed well. It’s the directorial debut of Su Chao-pin, and features Japanese pop star cutie Barbie Xu. She does have a love scene in the flick, but “doesn’t show all three dots,” according to Chao-pin.

Bummer. Still, it’s a pretty cool little teaser that you can check out here. It screens out of competition at Cannes this year so expect more info to come down the pike soon.
