Fangoria scored news yesterday what fans of RE-ANIMATOR have wanted to hear since 2003’s BEYOND RE-ANIMATOR: HOUSE OF RE-ANIMATOR is a go!

In the item, the series’ director Brian Yuzna recently partnered up with producers/sales agents Ray (YOU’RE KILLING ME) Haboush and Ted (FAUST) Chalmers to launch a sales and production company called Halcyon International Pictures, which will deal with genre films of the horror nature. Among the films slated for the company to work on (including SPRAWL: GRIZZLY and EVERDARK) is the sequel to the series that made Jeffrey Combs a horror household name. HOUSE OF RE-ANIMATOR has been on the books for a while now, which has Jeffrey Combs and Bruce Abbott involved with the President of the United States. The film will see the re-teaming of Yuzna, Stuart Gordon and scripter Dennis Paoli, and would be followed by two (yes, two) more sequels, creating a new RE-ANIMATOR trilogy!

As for the head honcho in HOUSE, Yuzna says that he wants to ‘cast big’. “If we get the budget, we want to have great supporting actors. Stuart is going to talk with William H. Macy, who just did EDMOND for him, to play the President of the United States.” To read the entire article, which includes a bit of news on EVERDARK and SPRAWL: GRIZZLY, click here.
