Here’s some strangely exciting news given the lack of overall detail. Variety reports that Dan O’Bannon, the man who wrote ALIEN and TOTAL RECALL, and also directed RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD, is going to write and direct a new sci-fi thriller titled THEY BITE.
No further details were available, so we get no clue as to the actual plot yet. Presumably some kind of nasty something will chow down on unsuspecting citizens. For an enticing possibility check out the 1996 flick of the same name.
No matter what turns out to be the truth, we’ll keep you updated when we know more. The most important thing is that we’ve got a legitimate genre force coming out to play. Good times!
