The Dr. Jekyl to our Mr. Hyde, JoBlo, scored some exclusive news on the second sequel to SAW, which is set to hit this October.

As most of you know, shooting on SAW III will be happening in Toronto this May. Tobin Bell and Shawnee Smith will return as Jigsaw and Amanda, and as a first in the series, a protagonist from a previous entry, Donnie Wahlberg, will be returning as well (at least, according to Wahlberg).

Now we have a little info on the story for the film. Two new characters, Lynn and Jeff, are up next in Jigsaw’s gameshow. Lynn is a married mother in her late 30’s who is kidnapped by Jigsaw for taking life for granted, and the Jeff character is a dad who has never recovered fully after his son died. It was an accident that the kid died, but he’s never been able to forgive himself. No word on how he factors into the film as of yet.

Producers are looking to name actors for both of the roles, which should be cast in the next week or so (which makes sense since May in right around the corner). Darren Bousman is returning to direct the film with a script by Leigh Whannel. Stay tuned for more info as filming creeps closer, folks!
