Don’t get me wrong, but almost every time I see a tentacle of sorts associated with an Asian film, it usually involves something, erm, ‘intimate’. Not in this case.
Today, Twitch Film posted the onesheet for the upcoming Korean ‘family’ monster film, HOST. Set for release in July (in its native Korea), this Joon-ho Bong-directed flick involves a mutant emerging from Seoul’s Han River and focussing its attention on attacking people. Previously, Twitch Film received the teaser for the film (find it here), which was pretty cool. The film’s also being submitted to Cannes for competition this year, which will determine its future beyond Korea (though Japan has picked up distribution for the fall).
In case you’re wondering what that subtitle by the littler girl says, it’s the film’s tagline, ‘Daddy, Save Me!’.
