Earlier today, fellow schmoe Jason posted
his visit
to the MASTERS OF HORROR: SEASON 2 party that he attended. He also posted a little
interview with Don Coscarelli, who is currently fleshing out the story for the sequel
to BUBBA
HO-TEP called BUBBA NOSFERATU.
Well, iFMagazine also caught up with Coscarelli, and chatted about the
sequel. When asked about it, Coscarelli confirmed that the man himself Bruce Campbell
would be returning as The King. “It’s going to star Bruce Campbell
again, and he’s going to put on the old sequined jump suit,” says Coscarelli.
“It looks like it could be pretty interesting.”
But wait, didn’t Elvis die at the end of the first film? “Who
said he died? He’s not dead,” says Coscarelli. “It’s the
magic of movies, we’ll resuscitate him somehow.” Good to know, since Bruce
and the late Ossie Davis made the film what it is. But now that Davis is gone, who will Bruce team with again?
Or will he team with someone at all? Hopefully as Coscarelli completes drafting the story, we’ll find out soon enough.
