A classic example of ‘Whatever happened to so-and-so?’ is Chris Carter. The guy blew TV viewers away for years with ‘The X-Files’ and made a niche with ‘Millennium’ (my fave), but disappeared after the fart that was ‘Harsh Realm’ caused the stink that sealed Carter’s fate with Fox. Who knows when or if we’ll get that X-FILES movie sequel, but at least the merchandise hasn’t dried up.
The brains over at Sideshow Collectibles have done stuff with The X-Files license before, and now we get Assistant Director Skinner in on the fun. Like Mulder, Scully, Doggett and Cigarette Smoking Man, Skinner comes to us in a 12″ figure. Currently available for pre-order (shipping 2nd quarter), Skinner comes costumed in custom suit jacket and tie, armed with S and W automatic handgun (with holster), and equipped with loads of accessories that Sideshow loves to pile on: a flashlight, cellular phone, glasses, laptop, FBI badge, and Clinton and Reno photos.
