Myrick brings Solstice

Sometimes after unexpected success, it just takes a little while to get back to business. This week will see Dan Myrick, co-director of THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT, return to his home behind the lens with new horror flick SOLSTICE.

The pic was slated to shoot last year in New Orleans, but Hurricane Katrina screwed that all up. Production is still going forward in The Big Easy, and for those of us who have made our home in that completely intoxicating state, it’s great news to see productions return that will help the struggling local economy.

Here’s the skinny on the pic: Elisabeth Harnois stars in the horror-thriller, which revolves around a young woman who gathers with her friends at a lake house for the summer solstice after the suicide of her twin sister.

Sounds good to me! Congrats to Myrick on getting back to doing his thing. It’ll be a lot of fun to see what he gives us this time. Plus Harnois is a cutie and the weather down there is always humid, which means that clothes cling in all the right places when it comes to the ladies.
