Savini on the Grind

In an exclusive phone call from the man himself, House of Horrors reports that Tom Savini has joined the cast of Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez’s GRIND HOUSE.

For those who don’t remember, Savini, the horror special effects wizard who did such awesomely gory stuff for FRIDAY THE 13TH and DAWN OF THE DEAD, teamed up with Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino in Rodriguez’s FROM DUSK TILL DAWN (which proved to JoBlo and the rest of the world that Salma Hayak can be evil and still be sexy at the same time). In the phone conversation, Savini says that his character in GRIND HOUSE will be a ‘wilder ride’ than FROM DUSK TILL DAWN’s Sex Machine. He also revealed a bit more, but HoH can’t say anything until Savini gives the go-ahead.

A sweet deal, indeed! Savini has proven before that he’s not just a makeup effects wizard, and it looks like we’ll be seeing it again.
