One thing is becoming clear of late. Don’t piss off William Hurt. Following his Oscar nominated perfomance in A HISTORY OF VIOLENCE, he is now going to join Kevin Costner in the serial killer tale MR BROOKS.
According to The Hollywood Reporter: Costner will play Brooks, a tortured man who tries to be disciplined and remain in control. Hurt will play Costner’s alter ego, the evil part of Brooks that loves murder and mayhem.
I know that many have criticized some of the projects these two have chosen over the years, but there’s no question they can act. Watching them have a chance to go mano a mano over whether to kill or not should be a lot of fun. Plus it’s shooting in Louisiana, which always warms my heart since that’s where I survived high school.
And remember, if you happen to get cut off in traffic by one William Hurt, DO NOT flip him off. You have no idea what he might do to ya. That dude is loco.
