Dread Central already covered the Dick Cheney shooting joke when they covered this, along with a Ted Nugent reference, so I got nothing.
As I said, Dread Central got the scoop on Fritz Kiersch’s upcoming horror flick, THE HUNT, which obviously borrows its concept from PREDATOR: Aliens hunting humans. Save for this time, the hunters are hunting hunters. Confused? Here’s the dirt:
A bow hunting enthusiast, his eight-year old stepson, and a cameraman venture out into the woods to film one of those deer hunting how-to videos, which I’d probably never use since I don’t hunt with a bow. Determined to get at least one kill to complete the video, the trio trespass into restricted area where they soon find themselves on the other end of the gun, as an alien presence decides to hunt them.
Now, any horror flick that has kids in them I try to stay away from (save for a few exceptions), mostly because the kids are so damn annoying that you want whatever’s going after them to win so you don’t have Dakota Fanning-wannabes screaming their fool heads off at every opportune moment. This film I’d like to check out, since it touches on some Area 51-type stuff that I’ve been a sucker for ever since “The X-Files”, which the trailer for the film hints at.
The film stars character actor Cliff De Young (whose credits mostly include TV episodes of “Alias” and “CSI”, among others), and is currently in post-production over at American World Pictures. For more on the film (along with the trailer), head to it’s official site here.
