SciFi Wire chatted with the filmmaker’s behind STAY ALIVE recently and they shared the following interesting tidbit about some on-set oddness:
“Weird things did happen in post-production, but on the second day of shooting, we had this weird on-set possession that caused us to reschedule the movie immediately,” co-writer William Brent Bell, who also directed the film, said in an interview.
Bell’s writing partner, Matthew Peterman, added: “We can’t talk too much about it, but basically some people involved in the film lost their minds, and they [said] they had [been] possessed by [the] spirit of Elizabeth de Bathory, and I mean to the point that we had to shut down production for about 15 hours for that reason. The movie almost never was.”
Let you think to yourself Publicity Stunt, they do claim to have actual possession footage on tape. Plus, they insist they are not making it up. For real!
