It’s been a while coming, but NECA delivered the goods with its version of Shaun from SHAUN OF THE DEAD, which will be part of the next line of NECA’s Cult Classics series.
Action-Figures and Dread Central got the goods, and even went as far as to e-mail Shaun himself (Simon Pegg) to get his reaction. His response: “What can I say? Fan-*****-tastic!!! It’s been a dream of mine, to be realized in plastic since I purchased R2D2 for 99p at Debenhams, Gloucester in 1977. I’m thrilled to bits! Thanks (to NECA) for doing an ace job.” Really, is there any more to say about the figures?
Well yeah, since I haven’t even told you what you’re looking at. Armed with his cricket bat, bouquet of flowers and his box of records, this is absolutely the best figure I’ve seen in a long while. NECA even went so far as to reproduce the same stickers on the box exactly as they were in the film. How’s that for dedication? Along with Shaun, the 4th Cult Classics series includes Elvis (BUBBA HO-TEP), The Plaid Zombie (DAWN OF THE DEAD), Chucky (the original CHILD’S PLAY version) and a boxed set for SEED OF CHUCKY.
