Earlier this month, (or last month, depending on your calendar), we revealed the specs for the sequel to Uwe Boll’s laugh-fest HOUSE OF THE DEAD, appropriately called HOUSE OF THE DEAD 2, with the DEAD AIM subtitle thankfully dropped. The film stars Ellie Cornell from the original, Emmanuelle Vaugier and Sid Haig, and was scripted by ALONE IN THE DARK’s Michael Roesch and Peter Scheerer.

Today, DavisDVD got ahold of the cover art for the DVD, which hits March 28th. Lionsgate took the simple way out and slapped the poster art for the film as the cover. There appears to be two variants, though. One has a quote from The Arrow himself (above, courtesy of Amazon) and another (on DavisDVD) says ‘Based on the popular video game’. I guess for the latter version, it seems even Lionsgate didn’t want to associate with the turd Boll put out, and this is the sequel, and Lionsgate made it! What does that tell you?

Amazon is also taking pre-orders for the film, so you can head over there if you’re itching to burn your money. Here are the specs one more time:

  • 2.35:1 (16×9) widescreen
  • Dolby Digital 5.1 and 2.0 sound.
  • Audio commentary by director Mike Hurst and producer Mark A. Altman
  • The Making of HOUSE OF THE DEAD 2 Featurette
  • Deleted Scenes
  • Trailers
