This’ll be a short but sweet piece of news to kick start your Monday morning. Over the weekend came good news for fans of that big lug Jason Voorhees. In an article about Fox‘s choice to launch OMEN 666 on 06/06/2006 was the following bit of info:
New Line is hoping to release its 10th film in the sturdy “Friday the 13th”” franchise on — surprise — Friday, Oct. 13. Studio’s launched development of a script about Jason Voorhees’ origins.
Guess they aren’t considering JASON X or FREDDY VS. JASON as parts of the franchise. Any way, pretty cool to hear. I mean at some point they have to find a way to get an origin story right. Right?
