Our good bud Johnny Butane over at Dread Central dropped us a line to let us know about a new website for the master of the zombie, George Romero.
UltimateRomero.com, a site that will be regularly updated and run by Romero’s biggest fans, is now up and walkin’ around. The site is crammed with Romero-related merchandise, including not only autographed photos and DVDs, but hoodies, t-shirts and even soundtracks to the majority of Romero’s films (sorry guys, no DAWN OF THE DEAD soundtrack as of yet).

But merchandise is only a small portion of the site. I mean, come on, it’s George frickin’ Romero! You can post on interactive forums, browse through the ridiculous amount of photo galleries, read through tributes from various cast members of Romero’s films, read through film synopses written specifically for the site and of course get news on current and upcoming Romero projects, as well as appearances by the man at conventions and the like.
Chris Roe, Romero’s manager, says that every Romero fan needs to have the ultimate Romero experience, and that “We want to give them the opportunity to find out about George’s career, both past and present. George loves his fans, and this site is specifically tailor to them.” So what the heck are you waiting for? Another LIVING DEAD sequel (George says maybe April, maybe August)?! Lock the door, kick the dog outside, and curl up in front of your monitor for something special right here.
