Creek Cracks 10

Despite the fact that it’s a bloody, brutal, non-family film released on Christmas Day, WOLF CREEK still managed to work its way into the box office top ten this past weekend. The 5.7 million tally was good enough for 9th place. All the more impressive considering it opened on Sunday so the spot is just a one day total.

Looks like the gamble to let it play counter programming during the holiday season is going to pay off, and I expect it will do a remarkable thing over New Years – make more money in its second week of release than in its first! Ho, ho, ho.
