Lionsgate sent over some sweet pics today from next year’s subterranean horror flick THE DESCENT, which has been on the shelf for a while now (though not as long as NIGHT WATCH). This flick sure looks to be the plasma party that THE CAVE wasn’t. Don’t get confused, though. Similarities end with ‘people trapped in a cave get munched on by monsters’. Too much revealling of the creatures for my tastes, but hey, at least there’s no CG!
After a tragic accident, six friends reunite for a caving expedition. Their adventure soon goes horribly wrong when a collapse traps them deep underground and they find themselves pursued by bloodthirsty creatures. As their friendships deteriorate, they find themselves in a desperate struggle to survive the creatures and each other.
