Today, the always reliable DVDActive posted the cover art for Sony Pictures’ DEATH TUNNEL, which is set for release February 28th.

Directed by Philip Adrian Booth and starring Steffany Huckaby, Annie Burgstede and Jason Lasater with a special guest appearance by Kristin Novak’s ‘Novaks’, the film is based on the true story of a Kentucky hospital where 63,000 people died, and follows a group of five college girls who have to spend a night in the haunted sanatorium. As the students, one by one, become victims of its tragic history, they soon uncover a shocking link they all may have to its past – a five hundred foot, underground body chute built to remove the dead bodies of its patients.

The film itself will be presented in 1.78:1 anamorphic widescreen, along with an English Dolby Digital 5.1 track, and will set you back around $24.96. Unfortunately, no extras will be included, it seems, which is a shame given what was accomplished on such a small budget ($1 million). Oh well, at least the cover art looks interesting, in a deranged sort of way.
