H.P. Lovecraft inspired flicks always run high on the creepiness scale, but often times miss the chance to bring out the underlying philisophical questions that can really make your skin crawl if you give ’em a chance. Looks like CTHULHU, a Seattle based indie is not going to make that mistake.
The pic stars Jason Cottle and (brace yourself) Tori Spelling. Cottle plays a gay professor who returns home to find that Dad and others are trying to awaken The Old Ones. I’m never sure why anyone would want to awaken The Old Ones, but accepting that premise is the entry fee to what based on the trailer looks like a pretty intense, well-made flick.
As to Tori Spelling, it looks like she plays a slut. Good enough. Check out the trailer over at the Official Site and let’s hope these guys find some distribution.
