Variety reports that Chan Wook-Park (OLDBOY, SYMPATHY FOR MR. VENGEANCE) will helm a Vampire pic entitled EVIL LIVE (clever, eh?). Turns out that this was that untitled project that Park revealed two months ago.
Park said back then and today that the film will be more about the question of the existence of God and evil, rather than a regular vampire flick. “I’m not so interested in the vampire genre per se,” says Park. “more in the religious theme.” Don’t fret, fellow schmoes. Park said that he’s always been a fan of the classic vampire flicks, including NOSFERATU and Dreger’s VAMPYR.
After this project, Park says that he’ll head to the science-fiction realm, directing a flick called EVEN IF YOU’RE A CYBORG, IT’S NO PROBLEM. That film will center around two inmates, a man and a woman who thinks she’s a cyborg. Works for me!
