Props go to Jordan B. for sending this our way.

Over at Apple.com, Sony Pictures has put up the trailer for MONSTER HOUSE, their answer to CORPSE BRIDE (save for the fact that MONSTER HOUSE uses CGI, but we’re getting ahead of ourselves). The film, directed by Gil Kenan (who’s apparently attached to directing the PAC-MAN movie. Seriously!), the cast features the voices of Mitchel Musso, Sam Lerner and Spencer Locke.

Musso voices the character DJ, who is left with a housesitter when his parents go off on vacation. While they’re away, DJ and his two friends discover that the house across the street from DJ’s place is alive (think THE AMITYVILLE HORROR sans the murders). Nobody believes DJ and company when they try to tell them (obviously). So what are three kids to do when no one believes them? Prove it with super soakers with flashlights mounted to ’em, that’s what (at least that’s what it looked like in the trailer).

Spielberg isn’t as wierd as Burton, but the flick still looks pretty cool (despite being a kid’s movie). Click below to pick your poison. MONSTER HOUSE rings your doorbell July 21st next year.
