Dinner’s on Tartan

Normally I don’t eat while watching a horror movie (save for nachos and a Caesar), but this sounds too good to pass up.

Starting Wednesday, November 16th (and continuing every 3rd Wednesday of every month), Tartan Video (the same guys with the successful Asia Extreme line), and Hollywood’s most unique dining and cinematic venue, Cinespace, will create the ultimate evening of shocks, scares and entertainment when they premiere Tartan Asia Extreme Night at Cinespace.

Taking dinner theatre to the extreme (sorry), the whole thing kicks off with Park Chan-Wook’s SYMPATHY FOR MR. VENGEANCE (See OLDBOY while you’re at it). On December 21st, AB-NORMAL BEAUTY (directed by the brothers Pang) will be screened in anticipation of its December 26th DVD release. Continuing from there, Tartan Asia Extreme Night at Cinespace will showcase a new Asia Extreme film set for release on DVD along with dinner and cocktails from Cinespace’s menu.

A novel idea if I ever heard one. Click here for more info on the restaurant, and here for Tartan Video’s US branch.

Don't skip out on the check!
